 Jeremiah 3:15
And I will give you pastors according to
mine heart, which shall feed you with
knowledge and understanding.

Nazareth Divine Spiritual Church was founded on February 18, 1972 in the home of the late Missionary Rose Porter,
under the leadership of the late Bishop Samuel L. Walker. The late Bishop Samuel L. & Mother Lizzie Mae Walker,
Missionary Rose Porter, Deacon Edward Abraham, Mother Luella Butler and Mother Mattie Rollins were the
founding members of Nazareth. The location was 1217 Magazine St. N .O. LA

Nazareth was recorded as a Non-Profit Religious Corporation on January 28, 1974. In 1974, Nazareth moved from Magazine
St. to the home of the late Bishop and Mother Samuel L. Walker. In 1980, Nazareth moved to 3333 Washington Ave. N.O.
LA, then to 1623 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. (formerly Dryades St).

In 1986, Nazareth purchased its first building at 1240 Simon Bolivar, which was destroyed by fire. During this trial, the Lord
moved upon the heart of the late Reverend & Mother George to open the doors of Christian Sunlight Spiritual Church to
Nazareth for worship. Nazareth worshipped there until God blessed Nazareth to purchase its second building, a double
house located at 2201-03 Fourth St. N.O., LA. Because of city ordinances and codes, we were not able to convert residential
property to commercial. Nazareth purchased its third location at 818 Constantinople St. N.O., LA. The Constantinople
location was renovated and became the home of Nazareth Word of Deliverance Christian Fellowship. After the untimely
death of Bishop Samuel L. Walker in January 1992, Nazareth appointed Elder Darren Walker as Pastor. The dream of the late
Bishop Samuel L. Walker to convert the Fourth St. location into our Church home became the vision of Pastor Darren
Walker. Through much prayer, labor, and faith, the vision came to pass in January 2004, and the Church name was changed
to Central City Christian Fellowship (CCCF). A ministry of love, faith, commitment, and dedication became our motto. CCCF is
presently involved in the ministry commanded by God.

(Matthew 25:35-36)
[35] For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
[36] Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

For the ministry God has entrusted to CCCF, we have acquired the following real estate around our church location:

2205-07 4th St., 2137-39 4th St., 2138 4th St., 2619-21 and 2618 Loyola Ave.

“THE VISION IS COMING TO PASS”
The members who have passed on, those who have moved on and the members who are here today are responsible for
Central City Christian Fellowship being where it is today. Above all, without the direction and favor of God, Central City
Christian Fellowship would not exist.!
